IT Specialist - mid level, banking (m/f/d)

As an IT Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering local IT projects, managing IT support operations, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. You will act as the main point of contact for front-office departments and external vendors while monitoring IT installations and services to ensure availability. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience delivering IT projects who thrives in a structured, organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver local IT projects aligned with agreed standards.
• Provide IT support by managing calls, tickets, and issue escalation.
• Act as the primary contact for MultiCash-related vendor support.
• Monitor IT-related costs, expenses, and budget requirements.
• Coordinate IT activities with building services, vendors, and suppliers.
• Ensure incidents and service requests are escalated, tracked, and resolved effectively.
• Perform daily checks of the MER environment (e.g., fire suppression systems, temperature control).
• Support system enhancements, releases, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities.
• Maintain effective communication across teams and management locations.
• Administer contracts with external vendors and service providers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering IT projects or workstreams within banking or regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of applications, infrastructure, data integration, and technical concepts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into structured delivery plans.
• Experience managing multiple initiatives with risks, issues, dependencies, and progress tracking.
• Proficiency in project reporting tools such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Jira, etc.
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall/hybrid approaches).
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
