Business Development Manager, Brokerage(m/w/d)
I am currently seeking a Business Development Manager (m/w/d) for the Frankfurt branch of my client, a German bank. This role is within the brokerage platform department, where the primary focus will be supporting banking clients in facilitating transactions, investments, and trading activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping banks buy and sell securities, such as stocks, bonds, and derivatives—in financial markets while ensuring the efficient execution of orders. Proficiency in both German and English is essential for this position. Your profile:
- You have successfully completed a degree at a top university in Germany or abroad.
- You have initial experience in a digital company (ideally in the fintech space), the Corporates & Markets division of a bank, an asset management firm, or a top-tier strategy consultancy—whether through internships or as a working student.
- You have a strong interest in digital products and are highly enthusiastic about neobanks/brokers and capital markets.
- You communicate confidently, persuasively, and appropriately for your audience.
- You think analytically, work in a structured manner, and demonstrate high levels of initiative and customer orientation.
- You are hands-on and enjoy working in agile teams.
Your Responsibilities:
- You will be jointly responsible for developing the business model for the in-app broker (e.g., account types, asset universe, subscription/pricing models) and calculating business case scenarios.
- You will conduct market and competitor analyses and review regulatory requirements.
- You will create monitoring dashboards and reports for the in-app broker team and senior management.
- You will translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable implementation plans, actively supporting the product management team in ensuring compliance for its products.
- You will stay up-to-date on new trends and opportunities for the in-app broker.
- You will establish connections with potential business partners such as asset management firms or IT/data providers and explore partnership opportunities.
