After my studies in Industrial Psychology, I started my career in the HR department of a fashion retailer in Cape Town. I was responsible for recruiting financial managers and was able to be part of the company's enormous growth. This was when I first came in contact with Robert Walters, who supported us in finding the right talent. I was immediately impressed by the highly specialised work of the consultants, who all come from the areas in which they recruit.

Five years later, together with my husband, a new adventure awaited me: a move to Johannesburg. I knew immediately that Robert Walters was the right company to help me find a job in a new city.

My contact at Robert Walters had by then specialised in recruiting for HR positions, and therefore knew exactly what I was looking for. My experience as a candidate was always good, I was well-prepared by my consultant and the processes ran smoothly and very professionally. After only one interview, we found the perfect job for me.

Another 5 years later, however, my family was to return to their old home in Cape Town. As a mother of two children, I commuted between my fulfilling job in Johannesburg and my family in Cape Town for some time. Until one day, my former contact at Robert Walters approached me with an exciting job offer - and once again, he hit the bull's eye. In my new role, I could do the job I love and be close to my family.

Robert Walters has been with me for almost my entire career - many steps I have taken were possible because of the support of my dedicated consultant.

Today, as Global Head of HR at Jimdo, I am responsible for the international recruitment of professionals. Among other locations, also for positions in Germany. In order to get support from local experts who know the local labour market very well, I searched out and knew that I was in good hands with Robert Walters here as well. Felix from the Hamburg team has supported me since then as a highly specialised consultant with his extensive network of specialists. Communication is always transparent, and we have built a very close relationship.

That's what I've experienced with all my contacts at Robert Walters so far - I've also become good friends with my former consultant here in South Africa, as he supported me in almost every step of my professional life. With his nice and friendly manner, I introduced him to a friend of mine at some point... the two of them are even married today.
