(Senior) Manager Occupational Health Governance (d/m/w)
Strategic Corporate Health Governance role at a global headquarters in Düsseldorf. The position focuses on international standards, Occupational Health, exposure protection, medical monitoring, SHE/HSE interfaces, reporting, and preventive health concepts. Ideal for physicians with occupational medicine experience and a strong corporate mindset.
For an internationally leading industrial company headquartered in Düsseldorf, I am exclusively recruiting for a strategically highly relevant position within Corporate Health Governance.
We are looking for a medically qualified professional with a strong corporate mindset — someone who understands Occupational Health as an integral part of governance, risk management, compliance, and a sustainable corporate culture, and who is eager to actively further develop global health standards.
This role is ideal for physicians with occupational medicine experience who are ready to take the next step from an operational or advisory function into an international Corporate Governance role.
Your Responsibilities
You will further develop global occupational health standards, guidelines, training concepts, tools, and key performance indicators.
You will manage an international medical monitoring programme focused on exposure protection and derive relevant measures for sites and regions.
You will ensure that legal requirements, internal governance standards, and reporting obligations are consistently implemented and continuously developed across the global organisation.
You will work closely with international SHE/HSE teams, HR, regional health leaders, and corporate functions.
You will drive digital solutions in the areas of occupational health protection, health promotion, and reporting.
You will help shape global health campaigns and initiatives that create impact beyond individual sites.
Your Profile
You hold a medical degree and have several years of professional experience as a physician, ideally with a focus on occupational medicine.
You bring at least five years of experience in Occupational Health, occupational medicine, Corporate Health, industrial hygiene, exposure protection, or a related field.
You understand medical risks not only from a clinical perspective, but also in the context of governance, processes, reporting, and international organisational structures.
Experience in a corporate environment, a corporate function, or in close cooperation with international SHE/HSE structures would be particularly valuable.
You communicate confidently in both English and German and are able to convey complex medical topics in a clear, structured, and stakeholder-appropriate manner.
Why This Role Is Particularly Exciting
This position offers you the opportunity to apply your medical expertise effectively on a global level.
You will not only advise individual sites, but also shape standards, processes, and programmes for an international organisation.
You will work on topics that are becoming increasingly important for modern industrial companies: occupational health protection, exposure prevention, regulatory security, governance, sustainability, and corporate culture.
For candidates from occupational medicine, Corporate Health, industrial hygiene, exposure prevention, toxicology, or an international HSE/SHE environment, this is an exceptional development step into a visible corporate role.
