A leading financial institution in Frankfurt am Main is looking for a Vice President (m/w/d) - IT Governance to join their regional Office of the CIO. In this key role, you will drive governance, planning, and management processes across a growing Technology function, ensuring transparency and alignment. Support senior leadership with structured reporting and effective frameworks while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Ensure effective governance, planning, and management of the Technology function, aligning activities with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate technology business management activities, including budget control, portfolio oversight, regulatory support, and Board-level reporting.
  • Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and control standards to ensure compliance across operations.
  • Monitor and report on IT governance metrics and KPIs, providing clear insights on performance, risks, and controls for senior stakeholders.
  • Support audits and regulatory reviews by preparing timely responses related to Technology governance and controls.
  • Manage executive and Board-level reporting with accurate and consistent submissions.
  • Assist with financial management tasks such as budget planning, forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between Technology teams and other business functions (Finance, Risk, Compliance) to foster collaboration.
  • Track and report on Technology initiatives at the portfolio level to support informed decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in governance, reporting, and planning processes within the Technology function.

Your Expertise:

  • Degree in Finance Business Administration Information Systems or equivalent professional experience demonstrating commitment to learning.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO, IEC 38500; relevant certifications like CGEIT, ITIL, COBIT, PMP are advantageous for demonstrating specialised knowledge.
  • Proven experience in IT governance technology planning or technology business management within an IT function showing your dependability in complex environments.
  • Excellent financial planning analysis skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel plus experience supporting budget planning forecasting cost tracking which highlights your attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of IT project portfolio management concepts cost allocation chargeback models enabling you to share insights across teams.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations compliance environments (EBA ECB GDPR); experience within banking or financial services is considered beneficial for understanding industry nuances.
  • Ability to interpret financial management information translate it into clear insightful reporting tailored for senior executive audiences reflecting your interpersonal communication strengths.
  • Strong organisational skills attention to detail ability to manage multiple priorities across governance reporting planning activities showcasing your reliability.
  • Excellent written verbal communication skills allowing you to connect effectively with Technology Finance Risk other business stakeholders promoting collaborative outcomes.
