In the course of a backfill, we are looking for a Consolidation and Reporting Accountant (m/f/d) for our client, a leading company in the mechanical engineering industry, for the location in the greater Bochum area as soon as possible.

In this position, you will lead the Group Accounting and contribute to the professional and operational development of the company through your decisions. You will be responsible for Group Accounting and for the continuous development of existing processes and systems.

Your tasks:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and other financial reports for multiple entities
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards
• Work with other departments to gather financial data and ensure its accuracy and completeness
• Analyze financial data and make recommendations for improvements in processes and procedures
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments and stakeholders
• Continuously seek ways to improve the consolidation and reporting process

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting and consolidation
• Strong understanding of IFRS and other accounting standards
• Advanced knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Tagetik and other accounting software
