Specialist Controlling & Methodology (m/f/d) - Reserving

In order to support further growth of the business we are currently recruiting a Specialist Reserving - Controlling & Methodology (m/f/d) based in the Düsseldorf-Cologne area incl. two days of home office allowance. Your potential responsibilities:

The role, which focuses on internal communications and consulting, offers the following key responsibilities:

• carry out regular reserve and profitability analyses
• corresponding stakeholder communication
• monitoring and support of the regular reserve KPI reporting processes
• methodological and processual ownership of reserving, driving the development, introduction and safeguarding of actuarial standards (guidelines, models, methods and processes)
• implementation and application of the IFRS17 accounting standard with a focus on actuarial topics.
• active contribution to, or possible management of, other projects, e.g. in M&A projects with the focus on actuarial valuations, or regulatory projects in the CFO division

Your necessary skills:

Experience in reserving or actuarial activities is an advantage but not mandatory, provided you bring the following skills to the table:

• You have a quantitative degree, ideally successfully completed your Actuarial education (or the intention)
• Professional experience in the insurance environment
• You show excellent technical and analytical skills and pay a high attention to detail
• open-minded, proactive and organized, a good team player with good communication skills
• a high level of intercultural competence
• fluent business English skills
